Predictive dialer: why we don't offer it

Predictive dialers maximize agent occupancy but produce silent calls. A choice rarely compatible with quality B2B prospecting.

Predictive dialers calculate how many calls to launch so an agent is always busy. They dial before an agent is free. When the prediction is wrong, someone answers with no one on the line.

Silent calls: the hidden cost

Every dropped call degrades the caller ID reputation, increases reporting probability, and fuels general rejection of the phone channel. Immediate productivity gains come at the cost of future answer rates.

What the regulatory framework says

B2C campaigns now require prior consent, and call abandonment practices are monitored. In B2B, tolerance is broader, but the logic remains: an answered call must find someone.

The alternative

A parallel dialer only dials for a rep already waiting. The number of simultaneous calls is capped by available reps, not statistical prediction. Efficiency remains far superior to manual dialing, with simultaneous pick-ups as a risk to monitor.
